Pilates Classes

At the studio we offer Pilates Classes for all levels including Matwork, Reformer and Studio (All Equipment) Sessions. Each has there own benefit, we are often asked what is the main difference and which should I attend, so here it is in more detail.

Matwork Classes:

Our mat Pilates classes are perfect for all levels with a maximum class size of 8

Our mat classes are different to most…Our teachers are highly trained and possess an innate enthusiasm for Pilates. This enables them to deliver a focused structure to the class, in a dynamic manner, giving guaranteed physical benefits such as improved core strength and flexibility. Due to our intimate class sizes we are able to incorporate our clients goals into each and every session.

We offer a range of group mat classes, such as:

Beginner Classes: Perfect if you are new to Pilates or have any chronic condition
Intermediate & Improver Classes: For the extra challenge, must have attended at least 10 Pilates classes prior to registration
Over 60's: This class currently ranges up to the late 70’s but does not stop us from incorporating some of the more advanced exercises where appropriate
Bone Health & Posture: A specialised class for those with, or at risk of, developing osteoporosis

Reformer Classes:

Our Reformer Pilates classes utilise our state of the art reformers to both facilitate and challenge you throughout the session as appropriate.In basic terms, the Reformer is like a sliding bed attached to springs to provide resistance. This adjustable resistance helps you to ‘reform’ muscular imbalances, tone, strengthen and lengthen the body without adding bulk, for a fantastic all over body workout.

It makes for an effective, non impact stretching and toning programme that is safe for the joints and favoured by Physiotherapists and Osteopaths. Reformer classes are small group classes (4 people maximum) working on the Pilates Reformer. Each student has their own Reformer so you can move at your own pace with guidance from the teacher.


Try Reformer classes if...

  • You have specific injuries and need rehabilitation
  • You would like the extra challenge in your workout
  • You regularly practice matwork classes and would like more of a challenge
  • You are Pre or Post Natal

If you have never completed Reformer Pilates before we require you to complete a 30 minute induction with a member of our team. This will include 1:1 tuition on the Reformer covering basic use of the machine to ensure you can hit the ground running in your first class.
