Ciara Everard

Our resident athlete and so much more! We feel very lucky to have Ciara on our team while she is also completing her PhD in pain science (studying the stories that athletes have around injury), working as a physio and training as a professional athlete.

Ciara graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Physiotherapy. She then went on to complete a Maters Degree in Sports Medicine furthering her knowledge of strength and conditioning, rehabilitation and injury prevention. She worked in a private practice in Dublin for 3 years, specialising in treating sports injuries and chronic neck and low back pain. During this time, she trained as a Pilates Instructor with APPI and began teaching classes regularly to a variety of populations.

In addition to her physiotherapy, Ciarais a professional athlete and has competed for Ireland in athletics in the 800m at the 2016 Olympic Games. Pilates forms an integral part of her training and she has found it to be truly beneficial in keeping her injury- free, strong and flexible.

Although she was introduced to Pilates from a sporting perspective, she truly believes that Pilates can benefit everyone from elite athletes to office workers to the elderly population. She enjoys teaching a wide variety of populations and tries to keep her classes interesting with varying theme each week in addition to focusing on her clienteles individual needs.

Ciara will be delivering our Tuesday evening mat classes at 18:00 and 19:10.
