Special Offer: Mat Classes in the Studio!

Dear <<First Name>>,

It really feels as though Autumn is settling in – the days are getting a little shorter and the leaves are beginning to fall.  It’s such a special time of year and we have been lucky to see some glorious sunsets.  We hope that you’re all able to enjoy the outdoors as much as we are!

We are settling into Autumn in the studio too, with the return of our Mat Class in the Studio on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm (see below for details of our September Mat Class Special Offer) and our new Reformer Fundamentals Class at 7.30pm on Wednesdays.

Although Monday is a Bank Holiday, we will still be offering our Reformer Plus Class at 12.30pm and our Mat Class Online at 6pm.  Places are available, so if you’d like to join us, book your place below.

We are delighted to have met a number of new clients in the studio recently, many of whom have taken advantage of one of our introductory offers:
– two mat classes for £18; or
– two x one-hour 1:1 sessions for £99; or
– a one-hour 1:1 session and a Reformer Plus Class for £60; or
–
one-hour 1:1 session and a Mat Class (online or in the studio) for £45.

Clients have told us that the 1:1 session is a great way of familiarising themselves with the Reformer, enabling them to jump confidently into a class!

We are now enjoying our new Find Your Flow®  series in the studio and online.  For the next six weeks, we’ll be focusing on the Swan.    Read more about the Find Your Flow® method and the Swan by following the links.  Look out for photos as we progress through the movement!

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you in the studio or online soon!

All Things Pilates Community Corner!

This week we’re taking a look at the Mermaid.  As its name suggests, it’s a really elegant movement and with the right modifications, it’s suitable for any level of ability.  You can do the Mermaid, or one of its many variations, on the Matthe Reformerthe Chair and the Trapeze table.  Each piece of the equipment can support or challenge you in the movement in different ways.

The Mermaid is one of the exercises we’ll be experiencing over the next few weeks to help us find our best Swan.  It improves the alignment of our shoulder girdle (so important for posture and to prevent neck pain).  It involves a lot of lateral flexion, which will strengthen and increase the flexibility of muscles at the sides of the body between the shoulders and hips.  Of course, it also improves flexibility in our hips.  Most importantly, it’s a fun exercise – you really can imagine that you’re the Little Mermaid of folklore as you glide through the movement!

If you’d like to experience the Mermaid, book your place in a class – we’d love to share it with you!
