Jacqueline Pye
Jacqueline is a passionate advocate of making movement and exercise an enjoyable and integral part of life. She is one of All Things Pilates resident cyclists, regularly cycling to the studio most days regardless of the weather!
Her Pilates journey initially started to aid recovery from a minor back injury. Attending her first mat class in January 2000 she was immediately hooked. The difference it made to becoming pain free, inspired her to become a mat teacher with Body Control Pilates in 2007.
Wanting to learn the studio equipment, she qualified from the Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Studio Course. On graduating, she was invited to join the teaching staff of the London studio of Polestar Pilates and for 2 years was part of their Education Team as a Graduate Course Assistant.
Having been introduced to the The Franklin Method during her Pilates courses, she pursued further training in it. She particularly appreciated how it treats pelvic floor health which has become a key area of her work. She has since become a Franklin Method Educator, and specialist Franklin Method Fascia Trainer for the Pelvic Floor.
Jacqueline has 15 years experience teaching pre- and post-natal Pilates; she loves encouraging women to feel healthy and strong during their pregnancies and supporting them on their recovery after birth. She can work with you at the studio in dedicated 1:1 pre- and post-natal Pilates sessions.
Being a cyclist and very occasional runner, she has furthered her sports based knowledge with specialist Pilates courses for running, cycling, ski-ing and rotational sports. In March 2020, she completed the Runity course for movement trainers, which teaches a conditioning and motor control programme to prepare the body to adapt effectively to the demands of running.
Over the years, she has worked with runners of all levels, from weekend runners to marathon veterans plus amateur triathletes. Using her Pilates and functional movement background she helps clients stay injury free, reduce recovery times and improve their personal bests.
Having experienced a back injury herself, Jacqueline aims to show clients how Pilates along with enhanced body awareness, can build a strong, mobile and healthy body at any age.
When not in the studio, Jacqueline enjoys stretching her legs walking and hiking, attending gigs and art exhibitions. She especially enjoys kayaking. Her 2 favourite places she’s kayaked to date are the archipelagos in Sweden and Finland.
You’ll find Jacqueline in the studio on Monday – Wednesday afternoons and all day on Thursdays and Fridays.
