New Program for Reformer Classes

News

Well, the weather has certainly been a talking point this week.  We hope you all managed to stay safe and perhaps watched the storm from the comfort of your living room!

We hope that those of you on half-term breaks had a great time and managed to get home safely.

We are still busily trying to recruit a replacement to fill Mia’s shoes – some of you may have seen our recruitment video on Instagram – if you’d like to add a comment about your experience of the studioit could make all the difference in helping us find the right person for our community!

We’ll be publishing the calendar for March class bookings early next week – and will be opening a new Reformer Plus class on Saturday mornings at 10am.

There are still a final couple of places left on Leanne’s Pilates retreat in an idyllic setting in Cornwall from 25 to 27 February.  Prices start at £325 per person in a shared room with Pilates, freshly prepared food and wine tasting included!

Whatever the coming week holds for you, we hope you enjoy it!

Find your Flow®

Some of you have asked about the new program for Reformer Plus classes displayed on the blackboard in the studio.

For the next six weeks or so, we’ll be focusing on the Twist in our Reformer Classes.  The program provides a fully body workout which helps us find the rotations in our body.

The program will help mobilise your thoracic spine – the mid-spine area which we tend not to use as much as the lower spine, to help balance the load in day to day activities.  You’ll probably also feel that you’re using your oblique (side) abdominal muscles to help strengthen the core and improve asymmetry in your body.

Your teacher will help you find the best range of movement for your body, whether you’re new to the movement, or feeling strong that day!

Why not give it a go by booking your place below!

All Things Pilates Community Corner!

This week on Instagram we’re also show-casing The Twist – but this time on the mat.  It’s a really good full body workout and helps us improve balance and shoulder mobility.  It’s also great fun while you’re learning it – we might have to create a bloopers video to show one or other of us dissolving into fits of laughter when we collapse in a heap on the floor – it’s definitely not one to try on a slippy floor with slippy socks!

Don’t forget to take a look at our short recruitment video – and if you have time, help us in our search by adding a comment about your experience in the studio!
