Hilary joined the team in 2018 – her focus is largely handling bookings, emails and general queries, as well as helping develop our services. Alongside this she inspires the team and clients with her beautiful execution of many of the Pilates exercises which she has achieved through her enjoyment of and commitment to regular practice.
Prior to working at All Things Pilates Hillary worked as a solicitor, handling relationship breakdown, before working in a number of senior roles in high profile national organisations, working in particular on improving customer service by strengthening communication and streamlining systems and processes.⠀
Hilary has been a client at the studio for a long time. She came to the studio several years ago, suffering with neck and shoulder problems caused by spending too much time at a computer screen and back and knee pain from a life-time of strutting around in high-heeled shoes! With help from Gemma and Andreas, she is now pain-free and fit for life’s adventures.⠀
Following an empowering Mindfulness course (run by Cynthia Bonell at the studio) – and inspired by Gemma and the team – she decided to take a completely new direction and is now training with Polestar Pilates to become an instructor. Hilary truly believes Joseph Pilates philosophy that “if your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young”.⠀
She will be at the studio most evenings, either working or observing our teachers at work, as part of her teacher training. So, if you have any questions or queries, Hilary will be happy to help!
