NEW: Reformer Plus Class Tuesday at 12.30pm

Dear <<First Name>>,

It is so energising to see so many of you enjoying your classes in the studio and online.  We have also noticed an increasing number of clients enjoying two classes each week.  For those of you able to do that – or even who practice at home twice per week – it’s a great way to accelerate building on the ‘connections’ you find in each class and help your brain and body work together to remember those connections.

The demand has been so great (thank you!) that we have decided to open a new class on Tuesdays at 12.30pm, starting on Tuesday 18 October.  You can reserve your place below.

If that time doesn’t work for you, take a look at our Class Timetable for October (below) and book your place.

We are delighted to have met a number of new clients in the studio recently, many of whom have taken advantage of one of our introductory offers:
– two mat classes for £18; or
– two x one-hour 1:1 sessions for £99; or
– a one-hour 1:1 session and a Reformer Plus Class for £60; or
–
one-hour 1:1 session and a Mat Class (online or in the studio) for £45.

Clients have told us that the 1:1 session is a great way of familiarising themselves with the Reformer, enabling them to jump confidently into a class!

We are making great progress with our Swan program and hope that you’re all beginning to feel the benefits.  Some clients have told us (and we can see as we watch you move) that they have found greater flexibility in their spineparticularly the thoracic spine.  You might also have noticed greater freedom in your hips and in your shoulder mobility – try reaching for the ‘thing’ that’s rolled under the sofa and notice whether it’s any easier now!

In Community Corner this week, we’re taking a look at Dart – it’s another one of those great movements that helps improve shoulder mobilityhip extension and thoracic spine flexibility – take a look below.

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you in the studio or online soon!

All Things Pilates Community Corner!

This week we’re taking a look at the Dart.  It’s a great exercise in itself, but it also helps build strength to be able to progress to more complex back strengthening movements (such as Swan).

Dart is an all body movement, great for mobilising and strengthening the spine (and more particularly the thoracic spine) in extension – the perfect antidote to modern day life, spent frequently in flexion (at our desks, looking at our phones etc)!

To really feel the movement we get a sense of reaching from the top of our head to our toeslengthening the front line of our body.  As we become more adept at the movement, we’ll also notice improvement in our shoulder mobility.

We can practice variations of Dart on the Reformerusing the springs to increase or decrease the challenge to meet the needs of our body that day.

If you’d like to experience the Dart, book your place in a class – we’d love to share it with you!
